RBA May Wait Until September to Hike - UBS
July 16, 2010 11:07
UBS economists changes their views, now expect RBA to hike in September rather than August mainly because there's much more data due before Sept meeting than August.
"If the RBA chooses, there's likely enough uncertainty over the outlook to argue at the August meeting for another month in 'wait and see' mode. But by the September meeting, we expect with 2Q's CPI & GDP both printing a bit higher than the RBA forecast, we expect the pressure will have built enough for them to hike."
